The Region VIII VPPPA chapter comprises a regional community of dedicated safety and health professionals empowering occupational safety culture across six states. VPPPA, The Premier Global Safety and Health Organization™, is the leading organization committed to occupational safety, health and environmental management systems and has created a complex network of cooperation between companies, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), state OSHA leaders, members of congress, the Department of Defense and Department of Energy.
For more than a decade, this association has provided its members a direct link to a depth of resources at OSHA, DOE and similar agencies within state-plan states and continues to offer a support network for participants from a wide variety of industries. More than 75 companies provide the support needed to continue striving for and achieving a stronger culture of safety excellence.
Region VIII VPPPA provides occupational safety, health and environmental leaders with networking and educational opportunities, up-to-the-minute legislative information, industry advancements, preferred vendors and consultants dedicated to VPP and safety and health management systems, mentoring opportunities, professional development and volunteer opportunities.

Annual Chapter VPPPA Safety & Health Conference
Region VIII is proud to bring together safety and health experts from different industries that are all united in their mission to create safer environments for their peers and colleagues. We are looking forward to seeing you at our Annual Chapter VPPPA Safety & Health Conference at the Curtis Hotel in Down Town Denver. Activities begin on Monday, April 27, and end on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
The Chapter Conference offers attendees a chance to acquire valuable knowledge and skills applicable to their work site and to nurture enduring, mutually-beneficial, professional relationships.
If you want your site to be leader in safety and health, why not learn from those who have already done it? There are featured workshops on a variety of safety and health topics, including how to improve your site’s safety culture, how to comply with new or existing OSHA regulations, how to get into and then thrive in VPP and ways to increase employee engagement, to name a few.

Board of Directors
The Region VIII VPPPA Chapter board of directors consists of safety and health leaders, such as hourly and salary employees from union and non-union sites, who personify the values and mission of the association.
The overriding responsibility of a VPPPA board member is to protect the interests of the members of the association by providing oversight to the political and fiscal aspects of the organization.
To serve on the chapter board, you must be a member in good-standing as defined by the chapter bylaws. Full members have the right and responsibility to elect chapter board officers during the annual chapter conference.
